Good Samaritan Grant Program

Good Samaritan Grant Program Open

The Good Samaritan Grant application is now available for Cuyahoga County area non-profits who provide basic need services. Non-profits can apply for up to $10,000. Applications are due by 4 p.m. June 3. Download the application here.

Also, we are asking all current or previous Good Samaritan grantees, or applicants, to take a short survey on the program at: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/MDN25ZY. For more information on the grant program call Ursula Craig at 216.241.9300 or e-mail her at ucraig@socfcleveland.org.

Since its inception in 1851, the congregation of the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine has sought to help and provide services to those living in poverty.

As a ministry of the Sisters, the Foundation offers Good Samaritan grants. In the Good Samaritan parable, we are called to be a good neighbor to people in need.

The Sisters of Charity Foundation of Cleveland provides support each year to organizations meeting the basic needs – such as food, clothing, shelter, and transportation – of those living in poverty in Cuyahoga County. Good Samaritan awards are up to $10,000 for a one-year period. Grant recipients can receive three consecutive Good Samaritan grants, and then must take a year off before reapplying.

The Good Samaritan Grant program was the first initiative founded by the foundation after it was established in 1996.
